Welcome to Band
Sangamon Valley schools are home to a comprehensive eight-year band program that aims to train outstanding instrumental musicians and give students a creative outlet as part of every school day.
We have hard-working students in each of our ensembles from 5th grade beginning band all the way to high school. High school students are also offered extra performance opportunities such as honor bands, solo/ensemble contest, and private lessons.
Together with director, students, and parents, we work to develop teamwork, excellence, and pride in the SV Band Program!

The program is under the direction of Dr. Neal Smith, Chair of Music Education at Millikin University, and Eric Wattleworth, band and choir director at Warrensburg-Latham.
